It was only a short drive to Herne. The Schollbrokhaus is an art gallery in the grounds of Strünkede Castle in Herne which dates back to the 12th century. We had some lovely pictures above the merch table.
As you can see from the photograph, the timbers made for a very unusual place to play. Careful placement of the PA led to the sound being good and everybody could see.
After the concert and almost everyone had left, a couple stayed behind and asked if Ray could sing Eyes Of Mercy for them. The lady was a nurse and the song had special significance for her. With such an intimate venue, Ray was happy to oblige.
